How can one truely understand his dog behaviors?
Dogs do behave strangely at times, is there any where one could understand them so as to form a relationship?

Well, yes, there is, but, one needs to make it almost a life’s work to be with dogs, to train as many as possible, to experience what different breeds and what individual dogs have to offer.
It is not an easy task to go beyond the basics, I think that it is a skill that you are born with at some level, if you want to go far enough.
As far as forming a relationship, one needs to KNOW and UNDERSTAND that you are dealing with a dog, an animal incapable of the same type of thinking and learning that we as humans are capable of and that dogs should be treated like dogs, not humans.
There are several excellent books out there and Dogwise.com has most of them if you are really interested.
