Crate Training a Second Older Dog?
Hi, we currently have a 1 yr old dog that we crate trained as a puppy. She now has full freedom around the house. We recently adopted a second dog also about a yr old that is not housebroken yet. We would like to crate train this dog. Should we crate train the new dog and let the other still roam? Crate train both? Don’t know how to handle this situation since they are both about the same age. Thanks for your advice!
We also adopted a second dog (only a puppy, who is now 6 months). We crated only the puppy except in the car where they share a crate.
However, once the puppy was crate trained we actually made a small room at our back room, that served as a large crate and when we left we put both of them together.
